Bows & Arrows is a creative studio and production company founded by filmmakers to make exceptional brand work and original films.

We believe in shaping ideas that push boundaries, in the collaboration between filmmakers and brands, and in the power of great storytelling to connect and inspire.

Our Story

Ben Altarescu and Josh Chertoff met when they were five years old and immediately bonded over movies they definitely weren’t supposed to be watching. Soon after, they started making films together — commandeering their parents' camcorders, recruiting reluctant siblings as actors, and turning their neighborhood into a studio backlot.

After sharpening their skills at NYU film school, their work began attracting the attention of top film festivals, agencies, and brands. In 2014, they started Bows & Arrows, a company built on the foundation of their lifelong creative partnership. Today, the same scrappy spirit and commitment to collaboration sparked in their childhood basements drives how they approach every project, from indie films to large-scale campaigns.
