Erin Sanger is a writer and director originally from Denver and currently based in Brooklyn. She loves working in both narrative and documentary realms and her films often feature naturalistic, character-driven storylines. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, her thesis film BOMBSHELL won Best Director, Best Screenplay, and First Prize at NYU’s First Run Film Festival before competing in the Student Academy Awards. Since then, her films have screened at over sixty film festivals internationally including SXSW, Tribeca, and Aspen Shortsfest and have been featured on National Geographic, PBS, Topic, and The Atlantic. Most recently, she directed MACK WRESTLES for ESPN’s 30 for 30 series, which aired on ESPN and ABC and was nominated for a Critic’s Choice Documentary Award.
