Matt Kazman is a filmmaker from Toronto who is currently based in Los Angeles. As an awkward teenager who’s greatest athletic achievement was receiving a “Most Sportsmanlike” medal in his hockey league, he naturally found his way to making comedy; particularly dark, uncomfortable, and honest comedy. While attending film school at NYU, his thesis film, Flagpole, was a Finalist for the Student Academy Awards. Since then, he has written & directed a range of projects from television (Middle of the Night Show for MTV) to digital series (Alive in Denver for Fullscreen), independent pilots (Love’s a Bitch, which screened at the New York Television Festival), and short films (Killer, which screened at the Sundance Film Festival). He has also directed commercials and branded content for REI, Postmates, Toyota, Stuart Weitzman, Sephora, and Intel (as well as some totally real spots for Amazon and Venmo that are definitely not fake).
